The last major update of the Stoke Rochford course was completed by Colonel Stafford Vere Hotchkin in 1935 when he extended the pre existing 9 hole course into the 18 hole layout we enjoy today.
Hotchkin is best known for his association with the world famous course at Woodhall Spa Golf Club which bears his name. He is also responsible for a select number of other highly rated courses both in England and also in South Africa.
The clubs in England with an association to Hotchkin meet on an annual basis to celebrate our heritage. In addition to Stoke Rochford and the aforementioned Woodhall Spa we value the association we have with Ashridge GG, Kington GC, Links GC (Newmarket), and West Sussex GC.
Anyone fortunate to play a Hotchkin course can be sure of a great golfing experience.
